This semester in Pattern Drafting Procedures aka patterns II We completed many patterns and fabric mock-ups.
I chose to showcase my favorite; the Sun-rise skirt with belt loop in my portfolio.
I love this design because I find it to be very wearable and something I have made again and will continue to make again and again
While creating this pattern I learned new ways to close up darts by constructing style lines they can shift into. I found that I can use this knowledge in creating endless designs not only in skirts but in all clothing.
I am going to be able to use this knowledge in a skirt line I am designing for a bride this summer. I feel more confident because of my skills I have learned in Patterns and know I will be putting them to good use in my career.
